· The Holy Scriptures as originally given by God are divinely inspired, infallible, entirely trustworthy, and constitute the only supreme authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
· There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
· Our Lord Jesus Christ is God manifest in the flesh; we affirm his virgin birth, sinless humanity, divine miracles, vicarious and atoning death, bodily resurrection, ascension, ongoing mediatorial work, and personal return in power and glory.
· The salvation of lost and sinful humanity is possible only through the merits of the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, received by faith apart from works, and is characterized by regeneration by the Holy Spirit.
· The Holy Spirit enables believers to live a holy life, to witness and work for the Lord Jesus Christ.
· The Church, the body of Christ, consists of all true believers.
· Ultimately God will judge the living and the dead, those who are saved unto the resurrection of life, those who are lost unto the resurrection of damnation.
As a fellowship we hold to the Statement of Fundamental and Essential Truths of the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada.
Our Purpose
Why do we exist?Every believer exists to worship God and to impact theirculture and the various cultures of the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ by reflecting His life and Spirit through our lives.
Missions is why LPC exists! The church of Jesus Christ is on a Mission; every disciple is a missionary. "We are the called out ones."
Jesus' mandate to the church covers everyone: "You will be my witnesses" the plural "you," not the singular.
Jesus is calling us to becombe fishers of men makes us a commissioned community. At the same time, we discover that it is community that is commissioned.
We seek to be recognized as the Thessalonian Church was by Paul. They became a model to the region around them.
"We continually remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith, you labor prompted by love and your endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ." 1 Thess. 1:3
We are each responsible for our own spiritual development, God will want to show you things in your life, and refine your person and character. It is your responsibilty to be open to recieve what God has for you. Our prayer is that during your time here, you will grow deeper and more intimate with Him and that your spiritual journey will come alive. Our prayer is that the greater fulfillment of those things will become tangible for you as you yield yourself to His calling upon your life.
