LPC Missions

Mission is why we exist!!!

The Church of Jesus Christ is on Mission; every disciple is a missionary. "We are the called out ones."

Missions is the heart beat of LPC and it is our desire to expose you to the vision and passion of this Church.

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everyting I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of age." Matthew 28:19,20

It is not measured by how much the local church gives or how many short term teams it sends. The great commission requires growth and maturity; moving from lesser to greater involvement.

Maybe success of a church can best be judged not by the number of people it holds, but the number it sends!

Missions Definition

"The carrying out of the Great Commision which involves the intentional sending of individuals, called by the Holy Spirit, across cultural, linguistic and/or geographical barriers to those who have yet to repond to the gospel."

It includes all activities done in obedience to Christ's command to make disciples of all nations and gather them into local churches.

It is the heart of God to live the mission right where you are, first and foremost, and then be willing to take the message beyond our local environment.
